Housing Choices Australia's new development:

***THE MERCHANT***

Small business at Victoria Harbour has indicated that a lack of skilled staff was a barrier that limited growth. With most of these industries being in the hospitality, retail and cultural/recreation services, the shortage can be directly apportioned to the lack of housing affordability on the grounds that these industries primarily offer casual or part-time employment.

The target group for the new HCA development called The Merchant therefore focuses on these low-income and modest income households, key workers, requiring ready access to the inner Melbourne area who require accommodation close to their area of work.

Anyone can apply to rent our apartments in Victoria Harbour and we will assess them on a number of criteria which are listed in the Expression of Interest form which can be downloaded from the link below.

This project is nearing completion (expected late 2009) and expressions of interes will be considered closer to the completion date.
